SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OAK HARBOR HIGH SCHOOL

Applications for Island Thrift Oak Harbor High School scholarships are made through the high school’s application process and are reviewed by our partners at the Oak Harbor Educational Foundation. NOTE: Please contact the high school directly with any questions and to apply.

Jim Konopik Scholarship

$1,000 For students who demonstrate outstanding community service. Their applications are to include a written statement of less than 750 words describing how their volunteer work and community service has made a positive impact on their life and community. They must also have at least a 3.0 GPA.

 

Helen Ludvigson Scholarship

$1,000 For students who demonstrate outstanding community service. Their applications are to include a written statement of less than 750 words describing how their volunteer work and community service has made a positive impact on their life and community. They must also have at least a 3.0 GPA.

 

Jo Balda Scholarship

$1,000 For students who demonstrate outstanding community service. Their applications are to include a written statement of less than 750 words describing how their volunteer work and community service has made a positive impact on their life and community. They must also have at least a 3.0 GPA.

 

Nida Paggao Scholarship

$1,000 For students who have demonstrated, or will be pursuing as a career or course of study, civic, political, and/or social service. Their applications are to include a written statement of less than 750 words describing how their work or service will make a positive impact in our community, state, or country. They must also have at least a 3.0 GPA.

 

Susan and Barry Sehlin Scholarship

$1,000 For students who have demonstrated, or will be pursuing as a career or course of study, civic, political, and/or social service. Their applications are to include a written statement of less than 750 words describing how their work or service will make a positive impact in our community, state, or country. They must also have at least a 3.0 GPA.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SKAGIT VALLEY COLLEGE

Applications for Island Thrift Skagit Valley College scholarships are made through the Skagit Valley College Foundation process and are reviewed by our partners there. NOTE: Please contact the Skagit Valley College Foundation directly with any questions and to apply.

Island Thrift Peggy Whitford Nursing Scholarship

Up to $3,000 For students in the Skagit Valley College Nursing Program. Eligibility includes:

  • A current resident of Whidbey Island
  • Program of study – Nursing
  • Either full or part-time student
  • Priority consideration given to students in the second year of studies demonstrating commitment to the program and their studies.
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress established by Skagit Valley College.
